The Winds of God by Raymond J. Davis ~ When the Italian armies invaded Ethiopia in 1935 all Protestant missionaries had to leave the country. At Soddo the number of believers was estimated at two hundred. The obligation to carry on the work of God became the responsibility of that small band. There was very little Scripture in their Wolayta language, so as the two mother churches sent out their leaders to evangelize, they had only the basic truths and their own changed lives and joyful witness.
